Which wall surfaces is this product compatible with?

All drywall walls including painted, wallpapered, and lightly textured.

Which wall surfaces does this product not work with?

Lath and plaster, stone, brick, masonry, tile, wood paneling, and heavy texture.

Are there different styles or colors available for the magnetic wall sconce?

Not currently, but we are working on developing a range of colors and styles. If there is something you would love to see us make please email us at info@alomaglow.com 

How bright is the LED candle? Can the brightness be adjusted?

These candles can be dimmed using the included remote. There are three different preset brightness settings you can vary between.

Does the LED candle flicker like a real candle?

Yes, the candles can be set to flicker or have a fixed light using the included remote. 

How strong are the magnets? Will the sconce stay securely attached?

These magnets are the most powerful permanent magnets one can buy, with pull force ratings of around 30 lbs on a metal plate.  However as the space between the magnet and the metallic item increases the strength rapidly decreases. While they are generally secure on the surfaces we noted above, they can inadvertently come loose and fall when knocked.   

Are there any electronic devices that should be kept away from the magnets?

Yes, please keep all electronic devices, particularly electronic medical devices and screens, away from the sconces magnets. 

Safety and Use

Is the magnetic wall sconce safe to use around children and pets?

Our product is generally safe to use around children and pets, but the scones contain strong magnets which can create a significant pinch hazard when near other magnets or metal surfaces. We strongly encourage you to use caution when using these products around children and pets. 

Are there any surfaces that the magnetic sconce should not be attached to?

Yes, please do not attempt to place these on or near any type of electronic device or screen. This could cause significant and irreversible damage to the item.

Can the sconce be used outdoors?

We recommend only using sconces and candles indoors as they are not watertight and are only meant to operate in dry indoor environments. Outdoor use will void the product warranty. 

How do I clean and maintain the sconce and LED candle?

The sconces can be cleaned with a clean wet rag and mild hand soap. As neither the sconce or candles are watertight please do not run them under running water or submerge them. 

Battery and Power

What type of batteries does the LED candle use?

They use rechargeable lithium ion batteries. 

Is the LED candle rechargeable? If so, how do I recharge it?

Yes, simply use the included USB Type A to six prong charging cable. 

How long do the batteries last before they need recharging?

Approximately 20-25 hours on a full charge.

Are batteries included with the purchase?

A single disposable battery is included with the provided remote and will need to be replaced periodically. The candles contain rechargeable lithium ion batteries that are warrantied to function for up to one year from purchase. 

Returns & Exchanges

Do you accept returns?

Yes, we will accept returns within 30 days of purchase on any undamaged product.

How do I return?

Simply email returns@alomaglow.com with you order number and reason for return and we will issue a return shipping label.

Please place all included items back in the original packaging and shipping box and drop it in the mail to us.

We will issue a full refund to the payment method used to purchase the item within 48 hours of inspection. Should there be significant damage or missing items we reserve the right to adjust the refund value at our discretion.

Can I make an exchange?

We warranty our product for up to 1 year from purchase so long as they are not overly abused. If the product does fail for any reason, please email returns@alomaglow.com with your order numbers and details of the failure.


If the failure occurred under what we deem as “normal” use cases we will exchange the item free of charge and cover all shipping. We may request images/video of the defective product as well as for you to send the defective product back to us, but we will issue a pre-paid shipping label should this occur.
